The problem: UC needed a way for staff & faculty to make retirement elections and manage their retirement accounts

The solve: A website portal. UC staff and faculty would use the site to independently make elections to and manage their retirement plans, without the constant need for Fidelity personnel resources. The complicated component was that the way pensions were handled had changed, and we had to create different user journeys that were dependent on each person's hire date (before/after X date). We hadn't done any work for UC before, so we had to become intimately familiar with their visual branding and language as we worked through the logistics of the user journeys. And in the end, they were thrilled with what we put together, and how staff/faculty were able to use it.
